Hatchbook

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Hatchbook ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including beta testers, free users, and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

Hatchbook is a poultry flock management application that allows users to track birds, pens, egg collection, incubation batches, health events, sales, and expenses. The Service is provided by Hatchbook and is accessible via app.gethatchbook.com.

3. Accounts & Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Beta Testing

During the beta period, the Service is provided free of charge. Beta features may be unstable, change without notice, or be discontinued. We appreciate your feedback and may contact you by email to request it. By participating in the beta, you acknowledge that the Service is still in development and agree to report bugs and usability issues to help us improve.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

When paid plans are introduced, you will be notified in advance. Subscription fees, billing cycles, and cancellation terms will be clearly presented before any charge is made. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. Cancellation of a subscription ends access to premium features at the end of the current billing period.

6. Your Data

You own your flock data. We do not claim ownership over any information you enter into Hatchbook. You may export your data at any time using the built-in CSV export feature. If you close your account, you may request deletion of all your data by contacting us at gethatchbook@gmail.com. We reserve the right to retain anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be linked back to you.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
Use the Service to transmit spam or unsolicited messages
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
Share your account credentials with others

8. Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive emails from Hatchbook related to your account, the Service, and occasional product updates or feedback requests. You may unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly. Transactional emails (account security, billing receipts) cannot be opted out of while your account remains active.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Hatchbook is a record-keeping tool — we are not responsible for decisions made based on data entered into the app, including flock management, breeding, health, or financial decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
